In year 5 we have been focussing on publishing our very own adventure stories! This half term we have been looking into and trying our hand at the ‘adventure’ genre in our writing lessons. Through our focussed text, The Explorer by Katherine Rundell. 5T have looked into what it means for a story to be deemed as ‘adventure’ – the features, narrative structure, and everything in between. As the term progressed we planned out the opening, build-up, dilemma, resolution and ending for our adventure stories and have been hard at work publishing these stories into our writing through books. We can’t wait for you to read them!
